美國共和黨副總統候選人彭斯(Mike Pence)6日暗示，他對於美國聯邦調查局(FBI)就前國務卿希拉蕊(Hillary Clinton)處理國家安全文件的結論並不滿意。
彭斯在北卡羅萊納州希科里(Hickory)告訴喧騰的群眾，「不當處理機密資料是一項罪行。」
這位印地安納州州長是在FBI局長柯米(James Comey)表示，仍維持先前決定不起訴希拉蕊的觀點之後數小時，發表了這項言論。
柯米在上個月28日致函國會議員，揭露FBI發現一批和民主黨總統候選人希拉蕊有關的新電郵，並表示正在檢視這些電郵，以了解是否與希拉蕊任職國務卿時使用的私人電子郵件系統有關。柯米的這項宣布對總統大選投下震撼彈。
不過，柯米6日表示，在審視希拉蕊的新電郵後，FBI並未改變在7月時表達的結論，也就是希拉蕊不應面對起訴的觀點。
